Meet The Pastor

Pastor Johnny Lowrance & (Brenda) Mrs. Pastor, as she is affectionately called by the congregation, along with their family of three moved to Murfreesboro in 2000. Originally from Texas, the Lowrance family made Tennessee home for their evangelistic ministry. Pastor and Mrs. Pastor have been married and ministering together for over 36 years. Their ministry experiences include everything from being youth pastors, worship leaders, evangelists and gospel singers to serving over nine years as pastors of two churches before beginning Turning Point.

In 2002, God began growing a burden in their hearts for the Murfreesboro area, and in January 2003, God confirmed the call to pioneer this new church called, Turning Point Assembly of God. The success and rapid growth of the church continues to attest to the hand of God being upon this work.
